My name is Megan, and I have struggled with anxiety for many years… experiencing thoughts that felt so much louder than any logical explanation so they had to be true…right? At times, those thoughts can feel so loud and so real that I felt that there was no way out which led to unhealthy ways of coping just to find relief. For years it felt like my mind was the enemy “you’re not good enough” , “You are worthless”, “You’re too stupid”, these are thoughts I experienced and experience on a day-to-day basis. The difference now is my management of such thoughts. For countless years, I used self-injury as a coping mechanism when I didn’t feel safe in my mind, this was a short-term fix for a longer term problem.
Like many people… I reached out for help.
What I found was a mental health system that felt stretched beyond its limits. Endless waiting lists, rushed appointments and no one actually taking the time to hear nor understand what I was experiencing… but they had no problem offering me a pill. Now medication can be life changing depending on the individual however I often left appointments feeling like my pain has been reduced to a prescription. What I needed here was not a plaster over a bullet wound; I needed support. I needed someone to help me understand and remind me that I am not broken… but I am UNIQUE.

My Story
If you're here, I want you to know one thing:
There is nothing wrong with you for finding life difficult sometimes.
You're human.
And you deserve support that feels human, too.
That's why I created The Good Mind Studio!
Not because I have all the answers… lets be honest who does, but because I know how powerful it is when someone sits beside you and says, "I hear you. You're not alone. Let's work through this together."
Everything I do is rooted in compassion, honesty, and the belief that every person deserves to feel heard. My experiences don't define me, but they have given me a deep understanding of what it feels like to struggle, and what it feels like to find your way back to yourself.
The moment I stopped asking "What's wrong with me?" and started asking "What happened to me?" was the moment everything began to change. I discovered that healing wasn't about becoming somebody else. It wasn't about eliminating every anxious thought or pretending everything was okay. It was about learning to understand myself, showing myself compassion, and creating a relationship with my mind where even if it became frightening, I was able to feel safe.
The truth is, so many of us are carrying things we don't talk about. We smile, we go to work, we keep showing up for everyone else while quietly battling our own minds behind closed doors. We don’t want to ‘bother’ people with what we are going through because our mind has made us believe we are a burden. Looking back, I realised what I needed the most wasn’t someone to fix me or my thoughts… I craved the safe space to be honest about what was going on inside my head without judgement and to help me understand.
